Google App Engine

Google launched their App Engine today, basically its hosting on the Google cloud for your applications (more details at TechCrunch). They are giving it out only to the first 10,000 people that signed up, and I was one of them.

Currently you can only have three apps and there doesn’t seem any way to delete an app, so be careful when your naming them, maybe create one just for testing.

I’m still testing it out but features like version control, error testings and easy to scale are a big plus. I also like the ability to create things just for inside your domain, you can change it so that you are required to use your Google Apps login to use your application if you choose to turn that security feature on.
